Albrecht Fuchs - Album

Albrecht Fuchs is considered one of the most significant contemporary portrait photographers. His work focuses on images of artists, art agents, collectors, publishers and other personalities who encounter the world with a special perception. Both objective and sensitive, Fuchs' images are often created in natural light conditions in studios or outdoors, in private or everyday environments. Published on the occasion of a first major exhibition of Fuchs' work at the Braunschweig Museum of Photography and at KunstKulturQuartier in Nuremberg, this book presents a special selection of images that provide an insight into his work, featuring portraits of famous artists such as Sigmar Polke, Gerhard Richter, John Baldessari, Raymond Pettibon, Lawrence Weiner and Martin Kippenberger, of younger artists such as Margarete Jakschik, Annette Kelm and Johanna von Monkiewitsch, and of composer Ennio Morricone who died in 2021.
