Immunology of the lacrimal gland, tear film and ocular surface

Evaluates our understanding of the lacrimal functional unit and focuses on the immunological interrelationships between the lacrimal gland, conjunctiva, cornea and tear film in both health and disease. Special attention is given to a variety of immune topics, such as mucosal immunity, lymphocyte homing, dendritic cell regulation, corneal immune privilege, ocular surface inflammation and autoimmune mechanisms.
