The Pulwama Aftermath

The man heaved the RPG on his shoulder. He was ready. The Prime Minister's motorcade was not far. His fingers closed around the trigger at the first glimpse of the approaching motorcade. The signal jammers in the Tata Safari would be ineffective against his hand-guided missile, he thought, as the first vehicle of the convoy passed him by. BMW vans carrying alert SPG men followed right behind. And then the target vehicle, right where he had been advised. The man pressed the trigger sending the missile speeding towards its target. The wounds of the Pulwama attack were yet fresh in the country's mind when the news of the attack on the Prime Minister of India shook the nation to its core. He was the most popular man in the country, destined to become the Prime Minister again in the upcoming general election. The assailant has disappeared. A Joint Task Force has been formed, all intelligence agencies working as one to uncover the secrets behind the attack. Any one of several terrorist organisations across the border could be involved.
