Resigned to spinsterhood, Elinor Radley, hired by Sir Edmund Grafton to chaperone his young ward in late Georgian London society, falls in love with her employer but a past disgrace threatens her happiness.
This book has only one highly critical review on Amazon, but is worth more, if only for the exuberance of the musical theme. It’s also out of the ordinary in that the “past disgrace” is treated as of little significance by Sir Edmund.
Fans of traditional HRs, who do not expect pages of sexual descriptors, will enjoy this tale.
